Chief Transformation Officer, AIP Publishing

Ann leads the Transformation Office at AIP Publishing and is charged with increasing organizational velocity, flexibility, and strategic alignment in data and analytics, new product development, and ongoing product operations. Ann joined AIP Publishing in January 2022 after more than a decade as Founder and CEO of Delta Think, Inc, a strategic consultancy in scholarly communications. She has also served as Chief Digital Officer at PLOS and has held several board and advisory roles in nonprofit, commercial, and startup organizations. Since the start of her career, Ann has been passionately interested in organizational evolution and working with organizations that are data driven and future focused. She has a MS from SUNY Stony Brook in Policy Analysis and Public Management and an MS in Business Analytics from the NYU Stern School.

Joanne Sheppard

Senior Vice President Strategy and Investments at Holtzbrinck Publishing Group

Joanne Sheppard is Senior Vice-President for Strategy and Investments at Holtzbrinck Publishing Group. She works for the majority shareholder of Springer Nature and the owner of Digital Science. Sheppard provides CEO-level strategy support globally in the areas of science and technology. In practice, this means working closely with tech start ups and gaming out strategic options to challenges facing scientists. Prior to this, Sheppard was the Vice-President of Strategy for Cell Press.

John Campbell

Product Strategy Director, Academic, Oxford University Press

John Campbell is Product Strategy Director for OUP’s Academic business. John works with a talented team driving product and platform strategy for OUP’s journal and scholarly programmes, covering 500 journals and over 300 society partners. Technology drives business transformation and digital engagement, but also complex organizational change. Working at the heart of the digital publishing industry for over twenty years, both commercial and non-profit, John is focused on meeting high-impact content with the right technology solutions.
